Tree service in Pine Lakes & Indian Trails

Tree service for Pine Lakes and Indian Trails — big pines on quarter-acre lots

West of Belle Terre Parkway the lots are still wooded with the slash pines ITT left standing, eighty feet tall now and leaning toward the house. We take them down, prune what's worth keeping and clear the lots that are finally being built.

Pine Lakes — the P section, around the Pine Lakes golf course — and Indian Trails, the B section north of Palm Coast Parkway, were built out from the 1980s through the 2000s on the wooded quarter-acre lots of the original plat, and a lot of those lots kept their trees. Slash pines are the story here: 70 to 90 feet tall, shallow-rooted in sandy soil, shedding limbs on roofs every summer and going over whole when a wet season and a tropical storm coincide. Around them are live oaks worth keeping, laurel oaks reaching the end, queen and sabal palms, and the still-vacant lots that new construction is clearing at a pace the city has never seen.

Our work in these sections is pine removal — by crane where they lean over the house, by climbing and sectioning where there's room — live oak pruning that keeps the canopy and the shade, laurel oak removals, palm trimming, stump grinding, and lot clearing for new builds with the city's tree permit and replacement-tree math handled. The golf-course lots add a wrinkle: nothing gets dropped on the fairway, and we coordinate with the course. Palm Coast's permit applies to any tree six inches and up; we file it with the estimate.

What we do in Pine Lakes & Indian Trails

Slash pine removal

Crane picks over the house for the leaners; climbing and sectioning where there's a drop zone.

Live oak pruning

Structural pruning and crown cleaning that keeps the tree and the shade, done to ANSI A300.

Lot clearing for new builds

Selective clearing with the permit and replacement-tree calculation, stumps ground, lot left build-ready.

Palm trimming

Queens, sabals and Washingtonias trimmed without hurricane-cutting them.

Golf-course lots

Rigging and drop zones planned so nothing lands on the fairway; coordination with the course.

Storm cleanup

Pines on roofs handled first, then the yard, with debris staged for the county haulers.

Questions from Pine Lakes & Indian Trails homeowners

The pine leans toward my house — how urgent is it?

A slash pine that leans, has a lifting root plate, or has lost its top is a removal, not a pruning, and the sooner the better before the next tropical system. We'll look free and tell you straight; a leaner over the house usually comes out by crane in a morning.

Can you save my live oak and just take the pines?

Yes — that's the right call on most lots. Live oaks are the strongest tree in Florida; pines are the ones that fail. We remove the pines and prune the oak so it isn't shading the roof.

What does clearing a vacant lot in Pine Lakes involve?

A city tree permit with the survey, marking which trees stay, mulching the understory, felling and hauling the rest, grinding the stumps below grade, and the replacement-tree or fee calculation the city requires. We handle all of it.

Do you drop anything on the golf course?

No. We rig everything on golf-course lots so it lands on your side of the line, and we let the course know the day before.

Is there a permit for one tree?

In Palm Coast, yes, for any tree six inches or more in diameter. We file it with the estimate and the photos that justify it.
