Tree service in Plantation Bay and Hunter's Ridge

Golf-course communities with mature landscapes and active architectural committees — we do the pruning right and the paperwork first.

Plantation Bay straddles the Flagler–Volusia line off Old Dixie Highway, and with Hunter's Ridge next door it's a few thousand homes on golf courses under 30-year-old live oaks, magnolias, crape myrtles and the palms that line every entry. The trees have reached the size where they need real pruning — canopy lifted off roofs and lanais, wind-thinned before storm season, dead wood cleaned out — and the associations have specifications for how that's done and who's allowed to do it.

We work in both communities under the insurance and pruning standards their committees require. Removals go through the ARC with an arborist justification; pruning follows ANSI A300 so the trees keep the look the community wants. Golf-course-adjacent lots get scheduled around play, and second-home owners get photographs and an invoice by email.

What we do in Plantation Bay

ARC-compliant removals

Arborist assessment and photos for the architectural committee; permits through Flagler or Volusia County as applicable.

Oak & magnolia pruning

Lifting, thinning and reduction to ANSI A300 — the standard the communities specify.

Palm programs

Entry and yard palms trimmed on a schedule; dead fronds and seed pods only.

Hurricane preparation

Spring walk-throughs and wind-thinning before June for the big oaks over the house.

Stump grinding & replanting advice

Stumps ground for sod; guidance on what to plant that won't be the next removal.

Questions from Plantation Bay homeowners

Which county's rules apply to my lot?

Plantation Bay is split — the north half is Flagler County, the south half Volusia. Each has its own tree ordinance and permit process; we check the parcel and file with the right one.

Does the ARC need to approve pruning?

Routine pruning generally no; removals and major reductions yes. We prepare the request with an arborist statement so it moves quickly.

Can you work on a lot that backs onto the course?

Yes, with debris and equipment kept on the street side and work scheduled around play. We coordinate with the club when a crane or bucket truck needs course-side access.

Do you offer a maintenance schedule?

Yes — an annual visit for the oaks every two to three years and palms twice a year, on a written schedule with a set price.
