Tree service for south St. Augustine and the beaches
Crescent Beach, Butler Beach, St. Augustine Shores and the A1A corridor down to Marineland are a short drive up A1A from the Hammock — we take the larger jobs and the storm calls.
South St. Johns County — from St. Augustine Shores and the neighborhoods off US 1 across the Matanzas to Crescent Beach, Butler Beach and the long stretch of A1A down through Summer Haven and Marineland — is the same maritime landscape as the Hammock: old live oaks, sabal palms, salt-pruned understory, and slash pines and laurel oaks in the newer subdivisions. It's also where storm surge did the most damage in Matthew and Ian, and where the trees along A1A go over first.
We serve this area for removals, crane work, storm cleanup, palm work and hurricane preparation. St. Johns County's tree ordinance applies outside the city, with protections for specimen live oaks and mitigation requirements for clearing; inside the City of St. Augustine the rules are stricter and the historic district has its own review. The 163.045 arborist letter applies in both, when the tree qualifies. Routine pruning is scheduled when we're already up the road.

Questions from St. Augustine (south) homeowners
How far north do you go?
Regularly to St. Augustine Shores and the south end of Anastasia Island; the city proper and north of it by arrangement for larger jobs.
Whose tree rules apply in Crescent Beach?
St. Johns County's — permits for regulated trees, extra protection for specimen live oaks, and mitigation for clearing. Inside the City of St. Augustine the ordinance is stricter and the historic district has its own review.
Can you do a hurricane walk-through for a beach house?
Yes — we assess the trees near the structure, prioritize the work, and can do it while you're away with photos on completion.
Do you respond here after storms?
Yes. South St. Johns is on our storm route with the Hammock; trees on occupied structures are worked by priority.
